We continue to draw on the traditional clothing techniques and expertise of the Nottingham area where the company was founded back in 1860. We also have offices in London, where the marketing, online and wholesale team reside.

Head of Retail, Europe (London)

The Head of Retail, Europe leads the retail business across key European markets while defining and implementing global retail standards across the brand. This role combines operational leadership and strategic excellence, ensuring consistent in-store experience, training, and performance worldwide.

Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, this position drives sales, operational excellence, and brand consistency across markets, while shaping best-in-class retail practices aligned with the brand’s values.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial & Customer Focus

  • Lead retail sales strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Foster a client-centric culture and ensure exceptional in-store service.
  • Regularly review store performance, presentation, and brand compliance.
  • Use data and KPIs to inform decisions and action plans.

People Leadership

Global Retail Excellence

Management Accountant (Long Eaton)

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Management Accountant to assist the Financial Controller in delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business decisions. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality monthly management accounts and providing valuable insights into the financial performance of the business.

As a Management Accountant, you will oversee the monthly closing process, VAT and sales tax accounting, weekly trading reports, and monthly cost analysis, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

Management Accounting:

  • Manage key balance sheet accounts, including stock, provisions, intercompany, and accruals.
  • Prepare weekly payroll, post entries, and reconcile control accounts for all payrolls.
  • Oversee cash reconciliations in a multi-currency/channel environment.
  • Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all entities, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts (profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements) for four trading entities.
  • Complete UK VAT, EU VAT and EC Sales List, and US Sales Tax returns, reconciling related control accounts.
  • Maintain the IFRS 16 lease accounting schedules and post monthly entries.
  • Office for National Statistics and other related government reporting requirements
  • Assist the Financial Controller with weekly cash flow reporting and reviews.
  • Support continuous process improvements across the finance function.
  • Oversee NetSuite (ERP system) operations, including: Daily issue monitoring, reconciliation, and error correction; Creation and updates to reports, searches, and dashboards.
  • Support audit preparation, acting as the main point of contact for audit requests.

FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis):

  • Produce weekly trading reports to track performance.
  • Assist the FC with the preparation of inputs into the quarterly reforecasts, annual budgets, and related presentations and commentary.
  • Analyze and compare business costs against budgets and forecasts on a monthly basis.
  • Develop and enhance business reports and KPI packs, with a focus on automation.
  • Provide reporting improvements for other business teams.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as required.

Experience and Skills: 

  • 5 years experience in a similar or larger sized business
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in financial accounting principles and reporting standards
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex financial data clearly
  • Expertise in financial software and data analysis tools
  • Understanding of business operations
  • Relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, AAT)

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Store Manager to join our London Covent Garden store.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the store and employees, creating a positive and motivational environment, encouraging them to generate sales and provide exceptional customer service
  • Exceeding store and personal targets and KPIs
  • Ensuring the store is always presentable and according to merchandising standards
  • Analysing sales and key performance indicators and taking the required actions to drive these
  • Reaching out and maintaining a good relationship with local businesses and neighbours
  • Administrative duties such as reporting daily sales figures to head office, organising the staff rota and payroll
  • Responsible for hiring and team development
  • Responsible for store stock management
  • Responsible for driving store marketing and VIP client relationships

Experience and skills
